This just shows how judgemental and self-righteous they are. They have already separated him as a "goat". He's lucky that he has seen their true colors before he gets any more committed.

Pirate copies of Knocking Director
by jwfacts ini just received an email from knocking director with the following message.. important copyright note .
please note that the knocking dvd is copyright protected and it is unlawful to make copies of the dvd, even if you are making copies for friends/family and have no intention of selling the copies.
there are reports that a number of people have been making copies of the dvd, under the assumption that it is ok for "educational purposes" or to give as gifts to friends and family.

As long as it's for the Borg, I'm sure they are justifing this somehow . They're so good at justifing lies.

when 8 yr. olds get baptized, what rights do nonbeliever children have?
by slvrtrixter init has been reported that a 8 yr. old child was baptized to prevent the child from seeing his mother(exjw) for custody rights.
my jw son has joint custody of my grandson also 8. the boys mother is not a jw.
the weekends my grandson is at his dads he is forced to go to meetings and field services etc.

I agree. A call into your social services or police department would be best. Your grandson needs help immediately. There is no excuse for physically abusing a child.

Husbands cousin found dead in Sherman TX
by megsmomma inshe was only 24, and found dead yesterday.
there has been bad flooding there(people missing and others found dead).....so that may have been a factor, but they are doing an autopsy on her....does that mean there might have been foul play?
she had a troubled life, so we wouldn't rule out someone hurting her.

It feels good not to be under that kind of control anymore
by troubled mind indid you feel guilty when you missed meetings for no good reason ?
did you feel you had to hide from other witnesses seing you ?
how did it make you feel if someone did see you , the next time you saw them did you make-up some excuse ?.

I'm four years out, thank heavens. But after a while of feeling guilty, it turned into feeling condemned by God.
I'm glad to be free of all that brainwashing! Within a few weeks of studying my way out, I literally felt all the burdens come off my shoulder. I was free.

Were You Constantly Counseled By Elders & Others?
by minimus inwere you ever told by the elders or others in the congregation that you shouldn't engage in a certain thing because it would be inappropriate-----yet you did it anyway?.
sometimes, "mature" ones will tell an inexperienced witness what they should or should not do within their families.
certain sisters were adamant that a wife should leave her adulterous or abusive husband and if they didn't the victims were shunned by their counselors!

Oh yeah. When I was young, Elders would tell me they wanted to look out for me because my father quit and they felt the scripture of the "fatherless boy" could be applied. I would just tell them that it was nice of them . Actually, I could always take care of myself, thank you very much! Most of the time, I would have a good logical comeback they couldn't argue with. If I didn't I would just say okay, then do what I wanted anyway.

Did Anybody Here Ever Want To Go To Heaven?
by minimus in.....either while you were a witness or when you were not??

When my family stopped going to the Baptist church to become dubs, I lost the desire to go to heaven. They made a paradise earth seem so perfect. Of course, I was only 10 years old. Now that I'm out, I hope I do go to heaven. I've spent too many years wondering what happened to all the brothers and sisters that died while I was in the Borg. Did they just lay in the casket and rot? So I hope there is a better place.

They could take portable DVD players from door to door and street corner work. A new medium to add to their historical blurb:
The radio was used extensively in the 1920's and 1930's. By 1933 the Society was using 403 radio stations to broadcast Bible lectures. Later, the use of the radio was largely replaced by increased house-to-house visits by Witnesses with portable phonographs and recorded Bible talks. Home Bible studies were started with anyone who showed interest in Bible truth.

Elders ARE idiots!!
by Gill inthis has always been my opinion, even as a 'loyal' jw!
i thought that elders were idiots.
i have only ever known one who has ever had any real education, a solicitor and he was an arrogant twonk, the rest were a pathetic bunch of bullies who 'appeared' to be loving and kind but were infact out to find out the shit about everyone and cause as much trouble for everyone as possible.

Gill, don't feel bad. I waited until I was 46 to leave. I really wanted to, but stayed in due to guilt and family. For years I would think that those who were disfellowshipped or stopped coming were "lucky"
I don't have a high opinion of elders either. I lost respect for them when I was a teenager and decided to go on without their superior advise and suggestions. Of course, that wasn't enough for me to quit. You don't want to be "stumbled" by others in the congregation. But anything that came out of Brooklyn, well that was a different story. I would listen to the GB because they were supposed to be looking out for us and all.

Something I noticed in the famous "1975" Watchtower article...
by B_Deserter ini decided to read for myself the articles my father and mother were reading during this interesting time in witness history.
i stumbled upon the following paragraph that scared the bejeezus out of me: .
"one thing is absolutely certain, bible chronology reinforced with fulfilled bible prophecy shows that six thousand years of mans existence will soon be up, yes, within this generation!

As a teenager, I lived through this and believed every word of what was taught. I truly believed I would never be 18 years old in this system. They are such liars. I remember how angry I was when they started backpaddling out of all the literature and talks, giving us mathematical proof too. Even Saint Bro. Knorr told us this stuff. We were hopeful and scared. We went from door to door like crazy with that "Truth" book trying to save lives. We were to get Bible studies and get them baptized before it's too late. Then it never came. I couldn't believe they actually told us that the GB never mentioned 1975 as the date, and it was all our fault for speculating. It's amazing how I didn't hear anyone complain about the lie, they just zipped their mouths and took it. It was never mentioned again.
